For those who have been inquiring about my next local encaustic workshop, it’s finally here! This will be the second time the St. Louis Artists’ Guild will be hosting my Introduction to Encaustic workshop. However, this time around, we’ve added a second day!

In this two day workshop, students will learn various techniques for working with encaustic, starting with the basics of equipment, materials and studio safety. Multiple small technique-based pieces will be created while exploring smooth and textured surfaces, opacity vs translucency, image transfers, embedding papers and fibers, and more.

All supplies needed to create a series of artwork are included in the cost of workshop! Please see supply list on the St. Louis Artist's Guild website for optional materials that can be brought by students.

*Students are responsible for their own lunch.
